A few misc cards...

I hope everyone is having a good week so far.  I went with my daughter's class to the zoo on Tuesday.  Everyone was so excited to see the new penguin exhibit but something happened with their cage because they weren't out all day, very disappointing.  Anyhoo, here are a couple of cards I made for a swap awhile back.  I've lost my supply list for them, sorry.

Here's another one I made for a friend.  Actually she had bought several of them but they are all the same.

Steph's Front Teeth

are officially gone!!!  Here are some pictures of getting her last front tooth out the other night.  We ended up trying a string it to and pulling it..well Robb pulled it, I closed my eyes.

Here's with it still in her mouth...

.
Here's daddy tying a string around it....

Here's the string....

ALL I WANT FOR CHRISTMAS IS MY TWO FRONT TEETH...

I'll try and get a better picture this weekend.

The Greeting Farm Royal Battle - Going Retro

The Greeting Farm is having a contest over the next 5 weeks called The Greeting Farm Royal Battle.  We had to come up with a team of 3 - 5 people and pick a name...ours is Stampin Farmettes and our other group is the Stampin Farmettes Sisters.  Every week starting on Sunday and ending on Tuesday you can go and vote for 3 cards in their gallery.  They are starting out with 60 teams and every Wednesday the roster will be cut in half.

The first week the theme of the battle was Going Retro and it was a color challenge also.  This was our inspiration.

I just so happened to have the perfect paper and the perfect little girl for this challenge.  This was also my first time to make an easel card, it was so easy.

Here is the link to the gallery so you can vote, you will have to register but it doesn't take long at all.  Thanks for your vote!

I also used this card for my Crafty Critter Challenge, you had to use the following:

1. thing that glitters
2. ribbons
3. layers (at least)...so layer that card up!!!
4. colors...colors on your image, on your DP, on the ribbon whatever...just as long as there are 4 different colors on your card!

Can we handle this? I think so....and also...you must enter your card in a challenge...just one challenge...that's all I'm asking...challenges can be so much fun and you just never know...you might just win!

Mmmmm...frosting!

I love frosting.....no I mean I really love frosting and my daughter is just like me.  They had their Easter Party at school today and had cupcakes.  I asked her if she ate the whole cupcake and said no, she only ate the frosting:)  That's why when I saw this stamp, I knew I had to use it.

So are you a frosting or a cake person?  I usually take the bottom off the cupcake so I have a better ratio of frosting to cake, yummy!  So on to my card....

I made this card for a few challenges:
~Eat Sleep Stamp #76 - Sketchy Thursday
~365 Cards Day 25 - Do It Yourself - Cover brads or pearls in glitter
~Hand Full of Stamps #21 - Something Sweet
~Cute Card Thursday #105 - Dimensions

Supplies: All Supplies are SU except: Copics: G24, R29, R32, and B32 Other: Hero Arts Pearls, Stickles, and Nestabilities.

Happy Easter!

I hope everyone had a good weekend.  We went to Disney and had a great time but my daughter started to get sick while we were there and once we were home Sunday night she threw up, yuck!  We also went to the Cardinals vs Braves game but it was rained out which was a total bummer because I haven't seen a game yet this year.

I can't believe Easter is less than two weeks away and I haven't made an Easter card yet!  Here is an image from Pink Cat Studio...they have the cutest digi's.   I also bought a digi from The Cutting Cafe, it's the Happy Easter circle.  I used my nestabilities to cut it out and then used another one for the border and the card.  The ribbon I had used was a little too light for her dress so I ended up using my copic marker and coloring the ribbon which I thought turned out pretty good.

I made this card for several challenges:
~Bee Crafty Challenge #26 - Spring
~Crazy 4 Challenges C4C29 - Spring
~Ann's Creative Nook #82 - Easter
~Lexi's Creations Challenge #10 - Easter
~Ooh La La Creations #50 - A Button, A Bow, and some Bling
~Stamp with Fun Challenge #51 - Easter

Supplies: Paper: PTI; Stamp: Pink Cat Studio and The Cutting Cafe; Copics: Face: R00, E00, E97, R20; Hair: E97 and E50; Clothes: R30, R32, R35, B32; Basket: E29 and E34; Happy Easter Circle: G20 and Blender; Other: Stickles, Cuttlebug Folder, Nestabilities, Button, Twine, and Kaiser Craft Pearls.

Anything but a card...

Since I started stamping I really haven't made anything but cards so I thought I would try something new.  I made this little cone for a challenge at Tuesday Morning Sketches and I must say I loved doing it!  I found a tutorial for it at Splitcoast Stampers in the resource section.  Hope you like it!

Supplies:  Paper: Harmoine; Stamp: SU; Other: SU Punch, PTI Ribbon and Button.

Does anyone have any crafty plans this weekend?  I hope to get something done Sunday when we get back from Disney...yes we're going to Disney again.  The kids love it and never seem to get tired of going.  My daughter loves the People Mover, she could ride it all day long.  On Sunday we're going to watch the Cardinals and Braves at Disney's Wide World of Sports, I can't wait, I hope I get to see Mark McGwire:)

Happy Tuesday!

I know it is only Tuesday but I hope everyone is having a good week so far.  I went to see Hairspray tonight and it was fabulous!  If you ever get the chance to see it you won't be disappointed.  This was actually my second time, I saw it in NYC a couple of years ago.  George Wendt played the mother and was hilarious!

I made this card for the Clean and Simple Challenge at Splitcoast Stampers.  You were suppose to use two different shapes on the card.  I used my new SU punch for the hearts and didn't use one single stamp, oh no!  I really like how it turned out.

Supplies: Paper: Kaiser Crafts; Other: SU Punch, Cuttlebug Folders, and Inking.

Just My Sketches Reveal #2

It's March 15th so that means another reveal at Just My Sketches!  This time the songs you can use are:

TIME

Hootie and the Blowfish

HAVE I TOLD YOU LATELY
Rod Stewart

I DON'T FEEL LIKE DANCIN'
Scissor Sisters

MORE BEAUTIFUL YOU
Jonny Diaz

FIREFLIES
Owl City

I decided on More Beautiful You because at the beginning of the song it talks about how a girl wants to be like the women in a magazine but that she is just perfect the way she is...kind of like a flower.  People don't say look at that flawed flower...do they???
